RENOVATIONS

Since 1981, we have participated in over 8,500 church renovations. We have provided sanctuary renovation services for small chapels that seat less than 100 people to large "cathedrals" that seat over 2000, including many church renovations on the Historical Register. We have regional installation crews that execute church restoration work from New York to Florida and as far west as Texas.

Our goal is exactly the same as your sanctuary renovation committees... make your church renovation as beautiful as it can possibly be at the lowest possible cost with little or no disruption to your services.

There are three sanctuary renovation programs that we offer:

Program I - Complete Turnkey Church Renovations

This program is for the church renovation that would like to turn over the entire project to Church Interiors from the conception to completion. For example, your sanctuary renovation coordinator wants to change the look of the front of the building, expand the chancel area, change the ceiling, put in new lighting, etc. We would bring in a designer who would do sketches and drawings for review and approval by your building committee. We would have an interior designer prepare a designer board to coordinate colors. We would prepare a comprehensive church restoration proposal. After contract award we would purchase and warehouse all materials and then schedule to perform the actual work in a condensed timeframe that would disrupt your services as little as possible. Under these church renovations programs we would be responsible for the complete turnkey project including the general construction work.

Program II - Joint Venture Church Renovations

This sanctuary renovation program has been popular because it accomplishes the same end result as Program I with cost savings to the congregation. Under this church restoration program, Church Interiors would do all of the design and color coordination and perform all of the work except the general construction work. A local contractor (usually a custom homebuilder) would be hired to extend the platform and add any millwork that would be required for your church renovations. All of the other work, i.e., painting, carpeting, pew restoration, stained glass, chancel furniture, etc., would be contracted directly between the congregation and Church Interiors at subcontractor prices without markup from the contractor. All sanctuary renovation scheduling is coordinated by Church Interiors.

Program III - Cosmetic Church Renovations

This is a sanctuary renovation in which there is no general construction work. The church renovations are needed to update the color scheme which would include carpeting, painting, pew refinishing, upholstering or cushions, etc. We would have our interior designer meet with your church restoration committee to help coordinate paints, stains, carpet, fabrics, etc. We would prepare a sanctuary renovation proposal and if accepted, we would coordinate scheduling and perform the work in a condensed timeframe to cause little disruption to your services.
